Wood UV Protection Oil

Whilst exterior timber products are generally built and treated by the manufacturer to ensure that they can withstand the highs and lows of the UK climate, over time these measures will begin to deteriorate and your shed, decking or fencing may begin to show the effects of both rain and heat.

But whilst the wet UK weather gain begin to break down the structure of the wood if left to its own devices, the effects of the sun and the UV rays that it produces can if anything be more harmful to the look and quality of your exterior wood products.

Over time, all exterior woods begin to grey into a patina colour over time as the UV rays dull and breakdown the top surface colour of the wood, even if painted with a varnish or oil. However, with the right UV-protection solutions, you can ensure that the surface and centre of the wood is perfectly treated.

One of our many supplier Osmo have created a product that does just that and protects any exterior wood products from the sun's harmful rays. UV-Protection Oil has been developed to maintain the wood's natural colour and slow the greying process by (UV factor) 12 times in comparison to untreated wood.

Ideal for windows, doors, cladding, fencing and other vertically structured joinery (not recommended on flat surfaces such as decking).

Natural oil-based and microporous finish does not crack, flake, peel or blister. Water and dirt resistant, moisture regulating and reduces wood swelling and shrinkage.
